  • Where Do Stretch Marks Come From?

Commonly found around the breasts, hips, thighs, arms, abdomen, buttocks, and back, stretch marks are areas of skin that have been stretched beyond the skin’s elastic recoil potential and the skin forms an “internal scar”, which become the stretch mark.

The most common cause is the rapid growth of the skin which can result from pregnancy, weight loss, weight gain, pubertal growth spurts, growth of breast tissue, or even from weight training.

  • The Ideal Candidate for Stretch mark Camouflage Tattoo…

The best candidates have fully healed, flat, lighter-than-skin scars or stretch marks. Red, purple, raised, or textured scars may require skin preparation or alternative methods before camouflage can be performed. During your consultation, we evaluate whether you are a candidate and create a personalized plan. Good candidates for treatment are realistic about the results to expect and would prefer non-surgical approach.

  • What To Expect For & After Treatment…

Great news is that there is no downtime after this treatment. Clients can resume to normal day activities/ work right after. Immediately after the treatment however, we advise not to get the treated area exposed to water for 24 hrs and not to work out for 3 days to avoid excessive sweating.
Your treated stretch marks will be red immediately after the treatment and it usually takes 40-50 days for the treated stretch marks to fully heal. Please note that during the healing period, your stretch marks may go from red to dark brown before fading into your skin. Direct sun exposure to the treated area is prohibited while healing.

  • How Long Does a Stretch Mark Treatment Take?

Each stretch mark treatment takes approximately 45-60 minutes based on coverage area being addressed.

  • How to Prepare for a Stretch Mark Removal

-Avoid sunbathing and tanning beds for 2 weeks prior

-Quit smoking 2 weeks prior.

-Stop alcohol consumption for 1 week prior.

-Avoid aspirin and anti-inflammatory drugs

  • What Happens When You Tan After The Camouflage Tattoo

For most people, once they tan, their white stretch marks stand out more because of the contrast between the tanned skin and the 'white' stretch marks. This is when your stretch marks are most visible. After camouflaging, your skin will tan as it naturally does and your tattooed stretch marks will remain the same tone as your natural skin. Thus, making your stretch marks less noticeable.
